Rafa Mammos, Senior Academic Advisor

Rafael (Rafa) Mammos joined the CEA CAPA Barcelona Academic team as an Academic Advisor in December 2016. Rafa’s role is to advise students in academic matters and give support to faculty and staff in all academic initiatives. He coordinates the logistics for field studies, visits of guest speakers, library loans, student evaluations and special accommodations for students and his goal is to ensure both academic integrity and excellent customer service.
Prior to joining CEA CAPA, Rafa worked for CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) for five years, where he also taught Spanish language courses. Before that, he spent one academic year in Reed College (Portland, Oregon) as a Spanish Language Scholar. He has also worked in the International Relations Office at the Universitat de Barcelona. He speaks Catalan, English, Spanish, Italian, and some French.
Rafa was born in Mallorca, but was raised in Barcelona. He has also lived in Italy, and has traveled on his own around Europe, USA, and India. In his spare time he enjoys playing football (as a goalie), reading, and writing.
